Afternoon folks.  I've done some complex shaped parts recently.  Obviously I used lots of pleats in the bag so I had plenty of bag to get into all the returns.  The downside is that this has left some ridges on the moulding where the creases were.  Is there anyway of stopping this?  I considered using the stretchy bag but this blocks up the mesh so I considered a layer of peelply over the mesh etc.  Thought I'd ask what everyone else has done.

Peel ply between the laminate and the mesh usually helps avoid this as any resin filled creases etc just rip off with the peel ply leaving the typical peel ply even matt finish.,

Thanks warren.  I suspect some of this is down to the laminate thickness (6mm) and me not de-bulking.  I had creases in the peel ply as a result.

Very thick laminates it can be the fabric itself - as you say if it hasn't been debaulked, there is a tendency for slack in the fabric to bunch up when vacuum is drawn.
