Hi

I've been trying to get into home build surfboards and have seen the term "hotcoat" used regularly for the final outer coat of the board that can be brought up to a high polish. What sort of resin is this. I had a quick search around the net and this site but don't really see anything on this.

I also am doing repairs on a few old boards. Would this "hotcoat" be what you would recommend to use?

Thanks

Ian

Hi Ian,

The XCR Epoxy Coating Resin works perfectly for hot-coating surfboards; it has the added benefit of being highly UV stable and extremely polishable.
