I was wondering if anybody tried to powder coat an aluminium mold for a carbon part. It's a vacuum bag part and is not going to the autoclave.

Its not something we have experimented with so it would be hard to tell how well powder coat would work with release agents.  I would have thought that you could polish the aluminium to a better surface than powder coating could ever achieve.
