You could use a pre preg film glue and a layer of dry kevlar with the main pre preg cook and it will all wet out with all being done in one shot.

Ideally that's what I want but finding it difficult to find a supplier to sell on small quantities like easy composites do
I've seen a few people make their own prepreg using heat cure resin
Like I say though I'd rather have a proper prepreg

Why not just buy carbon/kevlar pre preg ???
or full Kevlar and put say a 400g down as your 1st ply ?

I was hoping to do it all at once
I know this is a long shot but would it work if I soaked the kevlar + rolled out as much excess as possible then put in the mould with the prepreg? Thinking as there's an absorbant cloth anyway

If you are adding the kevlar after you have cured the prepreg part your best bet is to abrade the surface and wet lay the kevlar on top ans vac bag again.
You can get kevlar preg too but it isnt cheap

Hi all
Needing to do some carbon secondary motorcycle engine covers
Intending on doing these in prepreg however as they are to protect the main engine covers when sliding down the track I need to add another material such as kevlar/diolen to help resist the abrasion against the tarmac
How is best to do it when combining with prepreg?
Cheers
