I have done some very simple shapes using MDF. I also face the MDF with laminex/bench laminate bonded with epoxy.
Usual semi perm release system and 100C cook. Works perfect for me.

Hi all,
Does anyone have an opinion on using a melamine/chipboard mould for a prepreg cook up to 120deg.?
Same question using plywood, mdf and OSB board.
I intend on using chipboard but am not sure what the mould stability will be like. Not very complex tooling, just some long straight battens in a U-section.
Not using an autoclave.
Look forward to your thoughts.
