Yeh it takes a bit of getting used to when you normally work with carbon. It's strange for a twill to be stiff as a board and have absolutely 0 drape, and if you do pull any fibres then you end up with see-through patches, so it's tricky. Even the radiator duct and inner guards had a good degree of drape to them, and were much harder than they would have been with carbon.
Brian, sorry for the late reply, I missed your post. The binnacle definitely isn't one piece, it's actually 24 pieces.

Great work!
I know what you mean regarding the alufibre...I recently did some fairly straightforward panels using it and getting an even-looking finish is very hard to achieve, but looks like you've done brilliantly on such a curvaceous part.

Amazing dashboard. Very cool.
Impressed how sharp you got the alufiber into the corners. Was that done with one piece of material?

Lovely! It's always controversial posting up pics like this as I find old-skoolers abuse you for not using oem steel. I did a wilys coupe some years ago and received quite some 'feedback'. Personally I love it

Thanks guys.
Scott, the mini is owned by our resident mini-collector haha. He has 14 of them, all different models. This one is his track car, was in getting a tubular front-end welded up. It's a serious piece of machinery that thing! Might only have a 1.6L Honda motor in it but I'd wager it would beat our 600hp Lotus around the track!

Ok, have you used car body filler over that or a special/ dedicated product.
