Ive just been sticking them into a plastic tidy box under my bed so they stay flat,

then if you need them for a small part or as ive recently been doing, using them for reinforcement at the mount points on a fairing you got them.

As above, recycle the offcuts, where possible. Even bits of tow can be used for localised reinforcement in a mould or part. The tiny scraps can be used to make a "filler paste" or used with some resin during mould making to smooth out some sharp corners when laying up the thicker layers of backing fabrics onto a mould.

I keep useful sized pieces in a bag and use them as backing layers on any cosmetic pieces I do.

Perhaps it's to do with being a bit new at this game but....

Every time I do an infusion or cut some carbon I seem to end up with lengths of carbon tow laying around on the floor

Does anyone have any interesting uses for this otherwise waste material?

I have tried to wrap some around a bar to make a ring which kind of worked after some sanding and clear coat.
