I only use wax release over the top of a chemical release when I need to apply a gelcoat or IMC. Otherwise it's always a chemical release on its own.

Thanks Hanaldo , once again I really appreciate your input.

Checked out your FB page.     really impressive.

Do you always use wax release ?       As I do and have had good results but im thinking about chem release to save a bit of work.

Its wonderful, its my main infusion resin. It actually infuses better than my very low viscosity epoxy, it tends to trap less air voids for whatever reason. 1x1m will infuse easily, but will take a bit of time. Good clarity, good mechanical performance, excellent pot life. It also has a very simple post cure schedule and can achieve a 93 degree Tg with just 4 hours at 80 degrees.

The main things you will want to watch out for are infusion speed on larger parts (im talking like 3sqm though) and stirring air bubbles into the pot while you are mixing. It doesnt self-degas as easily as a low viscosity resin obviously, so you want to limit the amount of bubbles you get in there from the start. I normally just mix it up and then sit the pot in front of a heater for 5 minutes, that will get rid of most of the bubbles and help the infusion. Or you can vacuum degas if you have the equipment.

Check out my Facebook page if you like, all the final parts you see on there are infused with this resin:
