What is the best vacuum bagging film?

Group: Forum Members Posts: 49, Visits: 486	What bagging is the best for infusing? Iam not using autovclave or oven for curing? I used the VB120-EF Elastifilm Vacuum Bagging Film today and got a sealed bag cuite easy. But during infusion I started to get problems. Not shure what happend but I started to get leaks. And the leaks was located near the epoxy inlet hose.

Group: Forum Members Posts: 460, Visits: 5.2K	Sounds like you didn't have a good enough seal around the hose. It's easy enough to nick the bag if you are using shears or bagging up on a table not entirely clean.

Group: Forum Members Posts: 2.5K, Visits: 28K	The elastifilm is no good for infusion, as stated in the product description. It's very easy to puncture, and often the infusion mesh or spiral hose will do this. You want quite a tough bag for infusion, so something like EC's VB200 is perfect. I notice they even have a cheaper low temperature option now, the VB160. Haven't used that myself, but it sounds like it's just a lower temp version of the VB200 which is perfect for you.
