Hi,
I am interested in thoughts as to reasons for using a glass fibre (Such as woven glass 2/2 twill) layer with woven carbon fibre layer in a laminate.
My thoughts are corrosion resistance of a metal part if next to the glass and cost.
What difficulties are presented ?
Any illustrations of examples.
Could twill weave glass fibre be used for skinning.

Yes .. Glass fibre twill can be used for "skinning" --- in a single layer it will be nearly...

From a structural perspective, glass fibre is fine for skinning but not as high a performance...
