When applying the gloss pva release agent it always drys with tiny air bubbles in which are raised up and show up in the new mould, then I'm forever sanding the new mould.
Iv tried using a foam bush, iv tried wiping on with tissue, and iv tried using a small air spray gun that attaches to a little air canister. But I found when spraying the pva on it sometimes beaded which wad also no good.
Hope you can help.
Cheers

Hi Carbon Man
Thoroughly de grease the part then use a spray gun and build the PVA up with some light mist coats , I am not a fan of PVA it has its applications .

You did too heavy a coat. Have had this issue before as well. You need to apply it a bit thinner, and allow it to completely dry between coats. Also make sure it isn't too hot when you are spraying.

Hairspray does the same thing as PVA, so it can be used instead of. It's more expensive though, so seems a bit pointless to me unless you're in a grind.

Yeah used instead of pva. As I didn't have a great spray gun. And all my parts are small so cost of hairspray isn't a problem. New mould is like glass

Nice hairspray trick. How many layers did you use and any other tricks you can tell on using it vs. Pva?
Thanks
