No probs mate, after reading my post again i noticed it could cause some confusion. You can wetsand and polish your moulds thats fine.

With the clearcoat I meant the finished part. Do not clear coat the mould.

In theory, the surface of your part will have exactly the same shine/texture that your mould surface has. Thus the shinier your mould, the shinier the part will be. If your mould is not quite as shiny as you would like, wet sand through all the grits starting at 240-400 up to 2000, then use polishing compounds.

Alternatively, if the finish is smooth, but matt, then hit it with an automotive clear coat. That is what I do, it comes out very glossy. Automotive clear can also be polished nicely.

so after it comes out of the mould how do we bring it to a shine, g10 and pad or dose it come out with a shine?
