With those sharp edges I'd have thought it would be easier to make the surface layer in pro-finish and do it in several pieces.  If you make the corners the join line it wont be easy to spot.

This part is not at all simple! I find it amazing how well the twill weave conforms to the surface, but I think that even if you used satin weave you still couldn't do it without some cuts and overlapping.

So I have a rather simple part with one area that I thought was going to be simple, but is causing a lot of issues.  I could use some advice as to how to lay the fiber in so I don't have the issues with bunching that I can't seem to get around.

The part can be made like this easily but obviously it will not be optimal visually.
