Hi all,

I haven't find a topic about silicon kit, so I am posting here.

I have a problem with my silicon molds. I will try to explain the situation...

I bought on the Easycomposite website the Silicone Mould Resin Casting Starter Kit  and then CS2 Condensation Cure Silicone Rubber to have more silicon for our experiment.

I create several silicon rectangles (ex: 15cmX10cmX3cm), taking care about the instructions. It is very simple and the results are what I expect and look perfect.

But...

After several days, even 2 months later, the "skin"/surface of my silicon molds are becoming "oily"...  You know, when you put your finger on a surface and you can clearly see after your fingerprint on it.
I can clean the surface with an alcohol solution, its works. But still after several days, all my molds are becoming "oily" again...

Is-it normal ? If yes, what kind of new and simple material can I use ?

Please help. I just need a simple silicon mold with a clean and proper surface at any time.

Regards,

Quentin
