Hi, 

so I'm planning to make this part in CF. Plan was, coat it in a clear coat to get a smooth surface. Wax and use PVA release agent, then apply epoxy, and lay few layers of CF. (3 of 2/2 twill 400g)

Then extract the new part, and cut and do some gentle sanding with fine grit. Then, once its reasonably clean, apply a few layers of clear coat and sand those back as I hear sanding on laminating resin can go through easy. 

Any thoughts/advice?

     My fault, for some reason I read the first "clear coat" as gel coat!

     You may not even need any sealing coat as often the epoxy resins do not stick to these plastics....
