Some questions for you wise Gentlemen.

I'm going to be skinning a few metal parts in black carbon fibre and a larger
part in a carbon/kevlar black and yellow weave.

Now until I found this site I was just going to lay the carbon over the sanded paint.
The parts that will be black I've sprayed mat black, was powder coated yellow.
The larger area I've left yellow.

My thinking was that if I painted it black then there would be no chance of the yellow being seen
through the weave from below.

The larger yellow I've not yet sanded but I was going to leave yellow because I'm planning on using the
Bi-compound weave.

Now I've seen this site and the carbon mod site and now I'm not sure.

Will epoxy stick to the mat paint or is the black base coat crucial to the whole shinning process.
If I was to use the black base coat epoxy will their be any sort of colour run between the black base and any subsequent layers
I'm wanting to display the black and yellow weave, will it black out the yellow or would i be better to put a clear epoxy down
over the yellow paint and skin the black & yellow over a clear base.

Many Thanks
