Hey all,
Just a quick one regarding epoxy adhesives in cartridges and their applicator guns:
Is there anything stopping me from NOT using the static mixer nozzles? So just using the cartridge and discharging a small amount, then mixing it and applying it myself?

Hi Hanaldo
Yes it is OK to use your method, i only use mixer nozzles when working on a big job.

Perfect, thanks Chris.
The mixer nozzles are $5 each here, would need to use my left arm as down payment :glare:

Your welcome
You need the gun/dispenser to ensue you have equal amounts , you could do it without but when mixing small amounts it is not worth the risk.

The nozzles are a quid each here and I still use that approach for small amounts. Works perfectly!

Yes the nozzles work very well, but I need to dispense it onto a piece of plastic so that I can mix some pigment in before applying it, so I would end up applying it with a brush anyway. Big waste of an expensive mixer to do it that way.
