SHD ???
Ah so I was right ! was also using some of this for R+D and can confirm its very good
Did he let you try some of the new "sparkly" carbon ? did a few samples for SHD to use at the composites show, can make some trick parts woth that
I saw the sparkly stuff... But TOO bling for my thing... haha.. I am getting flawless results but I found early on you have to work out a curing schedule that works for you and stick to it 100% every time. I have had some pinholes when due to the really cold snap there was a cooler spot in my oven which I had never had before and it altered the curing schedule a little. I use a ramp and dwell controller so I know it was not my timings it was simply the cold cold spot effecting it. I have two dwell periods and temperatures I use and never deviate from that program and it works every time. If I have a surface issue it is always (apart from the cold spot a couple of weeks ago) down to my lay up and an issue that I have to accept is my fault, the material has been better than the VTF261 I had used before.

Sorry... Been busy as work is no taking off and it has gone from an expensive hobby to a business...
Contact SHD composites and ask for Glenn... He will know what to tell you and as it was still a development material when I last had some so I am not sure if it has a product name/number yet...

It is not a secret supplier it is just the material is a development formula which is not launched yet... I have had samples over since just before I started this thread. I only got small quantities initially because they were making changes and if a customer had a problem they did look into why and what caused it etc. Changes have been made since I started using this material and I have found it has improved a little with each change making some of the lay up and breather stack methods I had to use when using VTF261 (Easypreg) redundant and giving a little more latitude in getting constant results with every part. I think it is because I have known them for a number of years and have always been honest as well as methodical with my lay up that I have been trusted to use this material. I do use a ramp and dwell controller but I also use a simple home made oven and work from home so I am not in some clinical composites environment and effectively if I can do the work and get perfect results so can a hobbyist or someone doing it as a business but does not have the funds to have the best equipment.
Once they launch the material officially and it is on their site I would share it, but as it is not I do not want to send people asking for a material they are not ready to supply to the public....
