Hi morepower are you using any adhesive spray to hold the fabric in place on the mold if yes what brand are you using and what application technique are you using. currently i'm using Airtac2 and i'm getting surface imperfection issues on the laminate after i demold. I'm using Frekote as my release on Epoxy mold and infusing with Epoxy resin. This is driving me nuts/crazy as i end up having to throw away the parts. any help will be greatly appreciated.
great looking part. lastly what are you using for infusing MTI or normal spiral

I had to make 7 in the end as  the first two were not really acceptable due to pinholes and release agent residues on those first two pulls from the new mould. So that one was the 5th and final one which will go out to the customer. So when I made 5 more all of those last 5 have come out well getting better and better.. It is just the release agent residue from the new mould that has stopped them from looking really good.. Now the mould has had 7 pulls and the oven now has a ramp and dwell controller it should mean less issues with them and I can now create different curing profiles for the different materials.

Here are two better photos of the part straight out of the mould.. You can see the excess flange material is still on the part and it is un trimmed this really is straight out of the mould unfinished.

Part looks very nice.

Is that dust or white spot on the part?

Looking forward to hearing what the new material is!

Its dust.. I wiped over the part with a yellow cloth but there was still some dust on the part which I didnt see until I checked the photo. I am about to pull one more from the mould and if I get 5 consistent parts with the material then I will be using that material exclusively. The price is less than £40.00 per sq meter. I think if the order is about 50 sq meters then the price is very close to £30 per sq meter.
