Im very new to composites (never touched the stuff before ) but have been following the posts on this forum since it began and have ben researching the processes before that. Ie have been very interested in working with carbon fibre for some time i almost baught one of the starter packs from your site.

I have been told by a friend, who works in the drag car industry, that he can get me pre impregnated carbon fibre fabric for a fraction of the normal cost. 

my question is does pre preg need any hardeners or catalysts to work with or is it a case of just wrapping it in your mold and leaving to cure?

im itching to get started with the stuff and wondered if this would be a better starting place for me.
