Hi
This is likely a simple product question. I'm fabricating custom painting supports for artists, and seek a tough adhesive for sticking wood frames to alu-composite panels. For example, I have a 1m flat square panel of alu-composite, overwhich I want to evenly distribute a thin layer of adhesive, then applying the wood frame to the back. Achieving even distribution over that sort of area takes a bit of time... suggesting to me that I'll need a fairly fluid, long open-time adhesive. I've found most epoxy resins are too viscous to spread accurately and are generally available in too small volumes for this scale of work.
Can you advise a product that will adhere these surfaces strongly, that is hard/sandable once cured, that is easy to deploy evenly (either witha long open time or maybe a spray application), and I can acquire in volume (perhaps litre bottles), please?
Many thanks Peter Ibberson Oxford
