Howdy,

   Just found this forum as I start to get more deeply into Composites. Took a summer class a couple of years ago, and have been involved with some custom fabrication going on for the Reno Air Racer I am volunteering work on. As an A & P Mechanic I want to know more about the world of Composites...! Was considering some very expensive schooling, but figure I can buy a lot of raw materials and make mistakes in my garage for what one course would cost me...

Everything you need to start is already on the web, along with tips from suppliers (they tend to employ sales reps who have had a lot of hands on experience). And nobody will teach you what mistakes can.

I've already learned from some of the videos I found on this site. I am buried at the hanger for another month, but after the Reno Air Races I will have a great deal more time on my hands to figure out projects to start trying to work on!
