Hello and thanks in advance if you can help me. I've searched a few different forums but haven't found anything definite.
So I've done a simple layup of a single layer of twill weave carbon fiber and epoxy resin on a glass table. After leaving to cure for probably 20-22 hours I removed the sheet. Half of the sheet peeled off the glass beautifully, the other half is completely adhered to the table and there are areas in between where the fabric leaves the epoxy behind.
I think this is due to possibly the temperature being a little colder than 70 degrees and perhaps I need to allow the layup another 4-6 hours to cure.
Also I did not use a release agent as I don't want anything between the glass and the sheet. I did clean the glass with 99% alcohol first also.
Ive got a few pictures of my product here.
Should I allow the next layup more time to cure?
Would waxing and buffing the glass surface help demould the sheet without affecting the gloss of the surface?
