Hi guys!
I was hoping to see if anyone has any in depth info on the post curing of polyurethane.
I'm part of an artist duo working mostly on gallery shows and we've developed a keen interest in working with resins and epoxies. We have recently been experimenting with casting parts to build picture frames with - the longest sides being 25 x 35 x 800mm. So far so good, but I was wondering whether post-curing the parts would have any significant benefits for the strength of the parts? And if so, at what temperature and for how long?
All in all the parts for the frames are quite strong, but the stronger the better. We've been using the water clear polyurethane system, with a little bit of pigment.
Kind regards
Maarten
