Hi,
I am currently making a scale model of a quayside at 1/35 scale and I want to produce a cut through section so you can see into the water. I want to know which sort of resin to buy that will cure clear so you can see through to the sea bed from the top and front. I understand that once hardened I will need to sand/polish the resin to make it clear, I just want to know what sort or which exact type of resin to buy.
Hopefully my poor diagram will help explain what I am trying to achieve, the section coloured blue will be resin.
Any help gratefully received.
Ian

For such a large casting section, you would need the
GlassCast 50 Clear Epoxy Casting Resin
as it can be poured in multiple layers of 50mm to get to your desired depth. The resin is exceptionally clear so once polished and smooth, you should have no problem seeing down to the "sea bed" on your model.
