I'm completely new to working with carbon fiber. The project I'd like to do is build a battery box for a wheelchair.  In addition to holding the battery this box will need to also be strong enough for the drive motors to be bolted to.  Is this possible and any help is appreciated.

Battery boxes are already made out of wet lay grp for many applications. How many batteries are you using and what's the weight?
It can certainly be done as I've just done some high end carbon battery boxes. But you may need to do some hand calcs to figure out your laminate thickness.

It is approx 10" x 10" x 12" and weighs 62 lbs
