Carbon fiber skinning issue

P Group: Forum Members Posts: 4, Visits: 18	So ive been watching the online video while doing my carbon skinning on some dash pieces using the xcr kit, followed all the steps and matched the times as close as i could, on the final steps of flat and polish i seem to be left with a smokey finish and ive tried polishing it 5-6 times what could cause this? And help would be much appreciated.

Typically I find using a buffer machine is the only way to go, you have not said said how you did this. I done it via hand, but changed to a diffrent cutting polish and seems to have done much better now

As well you are using the cutting compound, but after cutting you'll still need a much finer polishing compound to remove the swirls of the cutting compound after using it.
