Hi I have recently made a carbon fibre skinned fuel flap with the xcr resin. Once finished it was perfect sprayed with clear coat fine sanded and polished. It's been in the workshop for about two weeks no problem I send it out and two days on the car the carbon fibre texture has come through. Its like when I started with just a few layers on really need some help with this.

Did you post cure it in an oven? I'm guessing the glass transition temperature was too low and the black part got too hot in the sun.

Yes I think you are right I have found out I need to post cure at 60c for 8 hours. And hopefully won't have this problem again

While we're at it - in case you didn't varnish it I would highly recommend you doing this as well to protect the part from UV

Yes It was clear coated but now I'm having the trouble of finding a oven I can leave on for 8hours. I was looking into buying a small plug in oven but the temperature for these ovens are 90c to 250c far to hot for what I need. Can't afford to buy a curing oven any suggestions?
