Hi, I wanted to try making some carbon fiber fairings for my motorcycle but was unsure how to go about reproducing small tabs and screw holes that you find on some of them. For example things like this:http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g459/blissstarexpress/bliss-star-expressfairing/injectBS1.jpg

They're made with injection moulding. The only way I could think of to make those would be to painstakingly make them as separate pieces and try to epoxy them in place afterwards, and just hope that they line up right and still fit on the bike.

Is there a better way?

Actually It can easier than ya think. First just make your exterior part, then make the tabs from metal and epoxy them on.

Ah okay making them out of metal seems easier and more sturdy. for screw holes you could just buy a female screw thread of the right size from a hardware store an cut it down to length and just epoxy it in place?

I just think it'll take a lot of fine tuning and practice to actually get the screws to line up right.
