Hello,

I have discovered a hairline crack coming out of the seat post channel cut in my CF bike frame. The crack is approximately 1.5 cm long. I have confirmed that it goes all the way through to the inside of my frame. After looking around, it seems that I could probably fix this with a few wraps of CF repair fabric. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations?

Thanks,
Dylan

If you want a better and easier repair, look on the good old interweb for hollow carbon tube, find one with a ID 1mm bigger than your bikes seat stem.
Cut a length off,I would go the length of the whole stem not just as far down as the crack
Andrade the stem and the inside of the tube.
Apply glue to both half an push the together
It will be messy ! But will clean up loverly
Ensure it's central so you have a .5mm glue gap all the way round
Will be way smarter an stronger than any wrap you can do yourself
