Hello! I made a post last month on the discussion board regarding methods to incorporate a failure line into a carbon fiber rear bonnet. After some advice from oekmont and Hanaldo we attempted to make a small section of the rear bonnet using 3 layers of carbon fiber and 2 layers of lantor soric in between. Unfortunately, it seems that when performing the resin infusion, the area where the decklid curves at ~ 90 degrees, was not in contact with the mold. As a result, the curved area of the part did not take on the shape of the mold and also did not have a nice finish. I believe this issue can be attributed to the fact that 2 layers of lantor soric (2mm each) create a thick part that is slightly difficult to maneuver into the mold.

Please see the photos below for more a clearer image of the issues.

Any advice on how this issue can be overcome will be very much appreciated. Thank you!
