Are the plastic blanking caps on vacuum pump fittings up to prolonged use  (for prepreg with pump running for upto 10 hours at a time) as i cant get the handle off to allow me to change the fitting!.

Cheers.

It's not one of our vacuum pumps so I can't say for sure but I would say that "if they don't leak, the don't leak"; meaning that it won't matter how log you run the pump for or what you're doing with it, if the blanking caps hold a perfect seal then they should continue to do so. If you have any problems with them leaking (test by doing a drop test) then you really will need to get that whole assembly off and just go with the fitting type that you need (rather than 3 and then blank 2 off).
