By epoxy standards, the XCR is lightning quick; as you'll know you only have a few minutes pot-life and that results in about a 3hr initial cure. Since pot-life and cure time are inextricably linked, if you wanted a 30 min cure time then you'd be down at only a minute or so of pot-life which I don't think would be practical for skinning!

Your best option would be to use the XCR skinning resin (which performs better for skinning than any other resin) and then use an oven at a modest temperature to accelerate the cure after application. You might need to experiment with your process slightly though (temperature of the oven for example) because the viscosity of the resin will reduce at elevated temperature and so you might find that the resin runs off more when it's heated in the oven. If you're only skinning small parts and you take time to work out what temperature you can get away with (you'll need to be spot-on with your timings) then this can speed your skinning time considerably.
