Which resin for fuel tank?

I'm making a fuel tank for my bike and was wondering what resins to use that are ok having petrol on them for long periods. I currently have the el2 laminating resin and the high temp resin. 2. Also making an exhaust end can using the high temp resin. Does this resin polish up if used as a finishing coat. 3. Can i use the el2 resin to coat a part and then polish it or do i need a different resin for this? If i can what is the best polisbing compound to use? Thanks for your patients and any help in advance.

You need a phenol Novolac epoxy as a sealer. You could possibly make the tank using it but I think a normal epoxy like EL2 would be fine and cheaper when making the tank.. 2. Also making an exhaust end can using the high temp resin. Does this resin polish up if used as a finishing coat. 3. Can i use the el2 resin to coat a part and then polish it or do i need a different resin for this? If i can what is the best polisbing compound to use? The problem is more and more fuels have increasing ethanol content and, in most cases, it is ethanol resistance that causes a lot of the problems hence the need for specialist tank sealers. Exactly.. ethanol is a nightmare and normal resins cannot cope with how aggressive it can be.... but then the petrochemical side of it can discolour the resins so you need to use one that will not discolour for the surface and one that seals for ethanol behind that too...
