Hello there,

Let me first introduce myself and after that my great hobby. I'm Stefan, 21 year old and I live in Ridderkerk, a town near Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and in daily life I'm a project employee at a quite large fruit and vegetables company.

That's it for me, about my hobby I have a lot more to tell. I'm eager for all kind of cars, but at the moment especially Suzuki, a few pics of my current cars:

1995 Suzuki Swift GTI:

My current project, 1997 Subaru Justy:

For the people that do not know: a Subaru Justy is actually a 4wd Suzuki Swift with 68 horsepower. I'm converting this to a (streetlegal) 4wd Suzuki Swift GTI Turbo track carBigGrin which will have at least 180 horsepower.

Obviously I want the trackcar to be as light as possible, so I will strip the complete interior of the car and put a lightweight seat in to it. And ofcourse (otherwise I wouldn't be here) I want to make as much parts I can out of carbon.

I hope to find a lot of information here about carbon and other composites, already watched the tutorials and especially the one about the carbonfibre hood was very nice!

Greetings,
Stefan

Welcome!

I have admit, it's nice to see someone working on a bit more unusual car. When fully stripped and carbonized + 180hp, that thing must fly. I reminds me of a Daihatsu Charade track car I read about, insane little beast. Keep us posted!

Thanks for the welcomeSmile

Soon I will order my first materials and tools en start moulding and making parts. I want to start with a pair of exterior rear-view mirrors, which will be (I think) not to big to start and practice with. Hope next post will be with some nice picsSmile

Welcome Stefan,
A mate of mine had a swift GTI, he filled the shockers with MX fork oil and re-sealed, and the shockers didn't move, it was awesome! Looking forward to seeing the justy progress!

Long time no hear, but now I want to order the first stuff to start with creating my cf parts!

I want to start with exterior rear-view mirrors, because they are not that big and I have plenty mirrors in stock that I can use.

But first some advice from you guys what to buy, I was thinking of making a mould with the Mould making starter kit and then make the carbonfiber part with the Laminating starter kit. What do you think?
