Hi Roxane,
You can find a brief outline of the differences between the 2 tube types on the tube page
here
Essentially the difference lies in the manufacturing process and fibre orientation, they both share an epoxy resin matrix and have a max temp (Tg) of around 70-80 deg C. The roll wrapped tube is made by wrapping unidirectional reinforcement around a mandrel, this allow each layer to be laid in any orientation, in our tube this alternates between 0 and 90 degrees giving a tube that has excellent all-round performance in both bending and 'crushing'. Pultrusion is quite a different manufacturing process, it is similar to extrusion but in this can the fibres are drawn through a resin matrix and then a die to form the profile, this process leaves a section that has virtually completely unidirectional orientation down the length of the section. Pultrusions although very strong in tension, compression and in bend, their performance in torsion is relatively poor, and they are also prone to longitudinal fracture and crushing or bursting.
You should find the mechanical data for both the tube types listed on the product pages themselves.

Hi there
I am doing some work on both pultrusion and roll wrapped CF tube. I have been searching for the data sheet but can't find any. Several things that would greatly help me:
1. Data sheet of Pultrusion and Roll wrapped (including matrix and reinforcement type, operating temperature) is it epoxy? melting point?
2. What's the different between pultrusion and roll wrapped tube - advantage?
Thankss =)
