I'm a complete newb at this but I'm getting everything together now to start practicing and it isn't cheap so I want to get it right.
I'm planning on making a sunroof bung for my car to start with so I want to get a nice glossy finish on the outside facing side.
So shall I do it the same as the video and use gc50 gelcoat with the cup gun sprayed on the mould b4 laying the carbon ?
Or should I clear coat the part after the infusion?
because from what iv read its abit more fail safe way for a newb
Is clear coating just literally laquering the part like a normal body panel?
Or if there's another way I haven't mentioned
Thank you for any help

What would u recommend for the layers on an item like this its a front and back mould that will be bonded together its only a civic so its only thin metal on the original part but I don't want to use loads of layers cuz it'll cost to much to make
