HI,

I was planning to use one of your 22.2mm ID Carbon Fibre Tube (Roll Wrapped) as part of a cooling pipes system on a motorbike.

Please, could anyone confirm that  this tube is suitable for water routing ?

I assumed it is made with epoxy resin  and therefore should resist to water, but I would like to get it confirmed, please

Could it also endure oil, fuel, etc ... ?

Many many thanks,

It is not designed as a cooling system pipe, although the tube should be fine with exposure to water generally.

however, in an automotive environment, most cooling systems are pressurised and use a range of anti-freezes and additives. Without testing, I've no way of knowing if the pipe would take the pressure of a 120C race cooling system on a hard worked bike.  I also don't have any specific data on if the anti-freeze would effect the epoxy based resin or not.
