Which kind of coating resin for skinning parts in engine bay?

Group: Forum Members Posts: 9, Visits: 72	I see that you sell a Very High Temp BaseCoat, but I don't see an equivalent Very High Temp Epoxy Coating Resin. Is the standard Epoxy Coating Resin suitable for skinning parts in an engine bay, or is there a different product I should be using? Tags Coating resin Skinning Very High Temperature

Group: Forum Members Posts: 9, Visits: 72	Thanks for your reply, Warren, I'm just a bit confused. The website says that for skinning projects you should not use the Epoxy Laminating Resin because it is too thin and that you should use the Epoxy Coating Resin instead. However, for High Temp skinning applications, you are saying it is OK to use the Very High Temperature Epoxy Laminating Resin? Does it dry as clear as the Coating Epoxy? The picture shows that it is amber. Finally, what happens if you use the regular Coating resin for skinned parts in an engine bay? I have seen DIY threads on various online forums that have just used that. Will there be problems with those parts in the future? Thanks for your time.
