part?? lets say a hood/bonnet.
give me the break down of the layers--for the skin and for the inner skeleton of the hood.

i 'll help--first layer is in this example CF and i choose twill in good old plain black. so for this exercise i have
it carefully placed in the mold and it is laying down good for me. smooth and no issues or wrinkles and no major pattern disruption.
what is my next layer? and options for this layer if i am juggling costs and playing with the materials to learn with.

same for the skeleton/structure of the hood. black twill CF--

as always, everyone thank you very much for the help

so you stop the soric a little before the edge and then you put some layers of carbon until you get the same thickness?

How many layers to get to the 2mm thickness, they should be a lot!?

This is my usual Bonnet/Hood lay up.
Front - 200grm Pro Finish 2/2 Twill - 200grm Plain Weave - 2mm Soric -  200grm Plain Weave - Carbon Tape/Off Cuts around the edge to match the thickness of the Soric.
