Group: Awaiting Activation Posts: 6, Visits: 11	hi, i have wet laid up a part for my car, nothing structural, just a centre console. she has come out pretty well considering there was no vaccume on it. how ever i do have a couple of dry spots on corners and slight pin holeing on some areas. what can i do too improve the appearence of this? is it posible to wet with resin and cover with flash tape, then polish/sand back? any ideas welcome!!! matt

Group: Awaiting Activation Posts: 6, Visits: 11	hi, the work shop i was in was pretty warm, t shirt and shorts warm! also to wet the fabric, i put it between to polythene sheets with resin, and sqeegeed the resin all across the fabric to make sure it was wet through, but that there was also not an excess of resin. anyhow, i still want to save the first part i made as its really not that bad, and im a tight arse! been talking to a friend in the states who is a very good carbon chap, he has suggested that i flat the whole piece back with wet and dry, then coat it with a polyurethane varnish, flat and second coat then flat and polish. he assures me it will work and that its the only think that will not chip or peel. anyone else tried this method?

Group: Awaiting Activation Posts: 6, Visits: 11	i used the profinish cloth for the top layer, and the join at the seems is so crisp, especialy visable when flatted back. well worth the extra couple of quid!
