You can varnish the resin if you so desire - depending on the resin adhering properly, however there is usually no need as the GlassCast 50 can be polished to a high gloss in its own right.

Table ready to varnish so varnished the wood and the resin.
Not overly happy with how it came out so have had to sand it all the way back down now and will have to work back up thru the grits.
Thinking of just varnishing the wood and avoiding the resin.
I thought it was ok to varnish resin though?
