Dear Sirs,

can you recommend a resin which can be used to attach a thermocouple (PTFE insulated or fibreglass insulated) to the inside of a brass bolt, which can withstand temperatures up to 250degC? I'm looking for a very small amount, so ideally a small bottle should be enough if it's available of course.

Regards,
Tom

Hi Tom,

I'm afraid that we don't have any resin systems that could be used for electrical potting in an operating temperatre of 250C. Our High Tempaerature Epoxy Resin system has a rated HDT of 180'C (although we have tested it to 200'C and had no problems). You might find that it would be OK at 250'C but because this would be beyond its rated temperature then it would be up to you to test and assertain its suitibility.

Best regards, Matt
