Whats the point of sanding after first coat?

Group: Forum Members Posts: 90, Visits: 634	Hi guys, after your very first coat in the video you sand the part, if it's a flat piece or there's no joins ect is there any need to sand or can you just add more coats after it gets to the tacky stage. Cheers

The main reason for sanding is to de-nib, so you get rid of any sharp edges, dry fibres, etc. If what you are doing is flat or a simple shape, then there's no reason you can't skip the sanding provided you're still within that 'tack-free' window.
