The small diamond cutting wheels that are available for Dremels, cut the thin CF stuff very well .. and they never wear down .. The EC permagrit is better, it does not generate as much heat .

If it's not cutting well, it might generate a lot of heat, which causes the epoxy to "melt" and you might end up with some "dry" fibers on the sides but you can easily sand the edge with some sanding paper to get nice results then

the permagrid grinding wheel is the best tool I've ever invested in...last extremely long and cut's nicely... those red or black discs you find in the "toolbox" with a dremel work as well but not that well...make sure to protect your face with these because they have a bad habit of shattering while cutting...don't want to scare you but just wanted to warn you

You can certainly use the dremel just find some cutting discs on ebay as there are plenty of them on there. Tungsten carbide will last the longest as you will go through quite a few normal ones.

Hello, I am working on a project and got to trim some edges. I am just wondering what bit I would use on my DREMEL? I know easycomposites sells a tungsten carbide disk meant for cutting carbon fiber, however, I am from Canada and the shipping rate for such a small item seems very high. Does anyone know any alternative bit I could use that I could get at a local Canadian store?
