Hello all, I am Mike, from the Midlands. Ive been into composites since the tender age of around 18 and now Im at the fatter side of a spritly, young 26. Im actually a composite technician by trade working for a worldwide firm that specialise in high end road car/aviation/motorsport/military etc composite parts from complete bodyshells down to the smallest of interior trim for very expensive posh cars.

Anyway, enough of that tosh...

Ive got to a stage at home now where I retail my own fibreglass parts across several car owners forums & also eBay to keep a gentle sum of money coming in so around two years ago I ventured into working with carbon & kevlar. Unfortunatly all wet lay as tooling/equip costs for prepreg are out of my league so I just thought I come along for some easy reading, helping others, getting some tips etc as we dont do much if any wet lay at work as its ALL prepreg.

Hello Nick, I dont work on a commision basis Im afraid. I only stick to what I know is worth retailing kinda thing.

Believe it or not the front wing is a wet lay, vac bagged, air cured.

ok, maby i have bot worded my queston correctly...

would you care to quote me a price for a bonnet and a cople of wings? i would bring them to you for molds ect.

I am a clay modeller by trade but thinking about re-educating myself,

There is no formal qaulification as such as far as I know, its all kinda self taught. Ive been messing around on and off with composites since I was about 18. 8 years ago now. Everything I know & have learnt is self taught or gained via internet hearsay & youtube videos. And then I had a lucky  break as my hobby landed me a substianally well paid job/career working in composites

And the rest is history so they say
