I'm sorry we've had to go down this route but from now on, new members will need to be manually approved by a board admin. Clearly this won't affect existing members but it will mean that new members are unable to post until they've been approved in this way.

The idea of this of course is to stop the relentless (and pointless) spamming of the forum with unrelated posts. It might mean, however, that we need to ask a few questions in order to establish that new members are indeed people interested in the amazing world of composite materials and related projects, and not just tiresome pushers of pointless fake IDs and pretend bank notes (really?!).

Fingers crossed folks!

Thanks for the comments. By the way, I know this is a bit of catch-22 but if anyone is having probelsm posting as a result of this change then please drop an email to the technical at easycomposites .co.uk email address and we can sort it out for you. We have lots of unverified users who haven't completed the standard validation process but who were previously able to post. It's possible this change will lock them out so just get in touch and we can validate your account.

Thanks all.... right.... back to this training course!
