Hi all,

I am looking for someone who have experience in mold making for a carbon fibre wing. As you see in the picture below.
http://cretiveproductions.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/s1223-2-stage-back-wing.jpg?w=800

I know that you should make 2 negative molds that splits the wing airfoil at the cordline, (splits the wing in 2 sides)
but do you have to make the upper an lower side of the wing in 2 pieces? and after it glue it toghether? or is there a way to just make the wing in one part?
Any advice?

thanks

If you build a wing for a real race car that produces real down force rather then just for the look you have to put in reinforcements like ribs spars and hard points for mounting.
That means you need to build it in two halves.
I have a page showing how I build dragster wings
http://curedcomposites.com/wing.html

nice website you have there!!! Smile , and if you glue the two wing parts together (upper and lower) its with polyester glue? and after gluing it together do you need to add some coating at the outside again (in front of the wing, red line) ? or at the inside where i have drawn the red line... do you need to apply another CFR stroke ate the inside so there wan't be a gap?

thanks!
