Hi. I don't want to be negative here but having been involved in several Formula Student projects if you can get a wing to create any sort of useful downforce at the speeds these cars reach then you are an aero wizz. All you are going to really do is add unnecessary weight. Having said that as others have mentioned it really needs to be formed in two halves, substantial reinforcement/ribs added and the two halves bonded together. The supports also need careful thought and design. If you are not confident that whole wing fitted to the car wont support your full weight then it isn't going to be strong enough. (assuming it actually creates downforce)
Also remember if you do manage to design something that works you will also need something at the front to balance things. otherwise the front of the car will become light causing understeer and reducing braking efficiency etc.

wings are best done with a small tab of cf on the inside of the joint line with adhesive in the butt joint and then sanded and polished down for a flush finish

these ones are done with internal ribbing



this is an f3 one which had a bit of a knock!

If you build a wing for a real race car that produces real down force rather then just for the look you have to put in reinforcements like ribs spars and hard points for mounting.
That means you need to build it in two halves.

nice website you have there!!! Smile , and if you glue the two wing parts together (upper and lower) its with polyester glue? and after gluing it together do you need to add some coating at the outside again (in front of the wing, red line) ? or at the inside where i have drawn the red line... do you need to apply another CFR stroke ate the inside so there wan't be a gap?

I came across his site years ago and learned a great deal of tricks from him.
I have spent many hours going over every process that he has compiled, it was a mother load to me.

You can put fittings into the foam before you laminate onto it.  The foam acts as a support over the whole length so doesn't need ribs / spars etc.  The problem is its heavier than a sparred wing.  I have made wings like this in the past for pro-mods / pro-stocks.  My construction is 1x200g 2x650g onto blue foam.

You can cut foam with a hot wire in the profile of your wing.  Lay up some carbon on mylar and then wrap the carbon around the core.  Then bag the whole lot.  I put the core, bag etc back into the block of foam you cut the core from to hold it in shape while it cures.  This is great for one offs but not so good for production.
