Perma grit idea

Group: Forum Members Posts: 346, Visits: 4.4K	I'm going to email perma grit in a minute about this aswel after talking to Ian Richardson at autosport but I just wanted to get an idea on popularity and if easy composites would be interested in it as you guys will have more buying power and persuasion than just me. I use a DA sander to smooth edges and shape foam etc etc, and the cost of sanding disks is excessive IMO. I wanted to pitch the idea of hook and loop backed perma grit disks. Something simple like their swop block sheets made larger and circular with Velcro on the back. The 3000 grit disks I use are based on a plastic sheet with Velcro on the back due to the fine grade. If you attached that to the thin steel backing with various grade grit, then you've got the excelent durability of perma grit which will never wear out! So instead of having boxes and boxes of normal disks, you'd just have 5 perma grit disks. I have plans to make a version to test to make sure it will work well, but just wanted to see peoples opinions?
